Rainbow trout

Rainbow trout or "Regnbåge" in Swedish are silver-glossy with a pink band along the side — hence the name.

Our fish is considered “slow food”. This is not only about the fact that it takes 4—8 years to develop the brood families, but also about the fish growing slowly in a climate reminiscent of the Arctic. Calculating from the hatching of the egg, it takes about three years for the fish to reach the desired size for slaughter. We offer fish in sizes from 2.5 kg to 4 kg.

Our facilities are supplied with fresh, oxygen-rich water directly from the mountains. The low temperatures provide the fish with an ideal environment for slow growth, yielding a firm and flavorful fish meat with an elegant flavor profile.

A versatile raw material

Its mild flavor makes rainbow trout perfect in dishes where you want the accessories to play as big a role as the fish. It is incredibly flexible and can be used in a wide range of dishes:

  • Roasted or oven-baked with herbs and lemon
  • Grilled as whole fish or fillet
  • Sushi and sashimi — a great alternative to salmon
  • Smoked — both cold smoked and hot smoked
  • Digged with mustard sauce and dill

Good fishing behaviour is important to us

The goal is to minimize stress and suffering for the fish throughout the production run. This is achieved through abundant access to clean, oxygen-rich water, the right temperature and low fish density in the cages. The natural environmental adaptation contributes to the good health and natural behavior of the fish. The fish is not exposed to lice and that no drugs or chemicals are used in its production. This ensures a clean, sustainable and natural product of the highest quality — right from the mountain water to the consumer.
