Telemarksrøye produces in scenic surroundings in Fyresdal, up in the mountains of Western Telemark.

Products

Fyresvatn is unique. The water is extremely poor in nutrients and has a very high oxygen content all year round which ensures optimal conditions for our fish. Here we have control over the entire value chain, roe and fry are produced on land in our energy-friendly RAS facility, before the fry are transferred to Fyresvatn for further production, where they grow into beautiful silver-shiny specimens thanks to the clear mountain water in Fyresvatn. The water is Norway's fifth deepest lake, and there is electricity generation at both ends of the water.

The char is an Arctic salmon fish and is considered a delicacy.

We are one of five smoke producers in the world with an approved ASC standard, and are supported by Telemark Development Fund and Innovation Norway.

A pure and natural product

The fish is given a carefully balanced feed that meets its nutritional needs and ensures a slow, healthy growth. All feed use is logged to maintain traceability and quality. The facilities are part of the local ecosystem and play a positive role in maintaining the biodiversity of the surrounding areas. The sustainable operating model, combined with a clean, natural breeding environment without the use of drugs or chemicals, ensures an ethical and environmentally friendly production of premium mountain fish.
